Discovery new Destinations in 2018

The fabulous thing about February is that things come to life again. And it is not limited to nature and budding bulbs! Sun worshippers have just about had enough of the dark nights, and over-wintered travellers are looking for their next destination. Thankfully there are now many shows and offers available for those wishing to stretch their wings and look for their next adventure.Llanddwyn Island

Next week we have The Telegraph Travel Show opening its doors for the weekend at London's Excel. Taking place from February 23 - 25, 2018 The Telegraph Travel Show is a must-attend event for the discerning traveller. The Telegraph are offering readers complimentary tickets when booked before 22nd February.

When it comes to travel it is worth taking a look at some destinations closer to home, and after a recent visit to Wales, we found so many unspoiled areas, great for days out, walks and relaxing. Newborough Forest led us through pine tree walks, all the way down to the Pilot's Cottages on Llanddwyn Island. Watch the tides to make sure you don't get cut off! If you are feeling a little more adventurous then a visit to the Llechwedd Slate Caverns is worth the trip across Snowdonia to Talwaenydd.

Scotland captured our hearts in 2017 when we stayed on the Glenmoriston Estate, Inverness-Shire. Located at the bottom end of Loch Ness, it afforded us the chance to travel alongside the loch, all the way to Inverness and beyond, as well as having some fabulous walks on our doorstep. However, be prepared for the cold, even on a warm day, as our walk along the Great Glen Way from Invermoriston to Fort Augustus on the high route had us up in the clouds! Well worth the effort though as the scenery was breathtaking.

Our next destination is waiting to be discovered, and we hope to uncover some gems next weekend at Excel. Register now for your free tickets to discover your next great adventure.
